**Technical Trainer Production Printers (f/m/d)**

About the role:
As the Technical Trainer for Fujifilm’s Production Printers, you will be responsible to deliver professional training to our European service community.

The training contents will include areas and topics, such as colour theory/colour management, media handling, workflow solutions, etc..

As the Technical trainer you will also be involved in creating new training material and developing new training strategies together with the Fujifilm 2nd level support specialists. You will also work with the manufacturers, Fujifilm Japan and relevant 3rd party providers, to optimize existing training material and documentation to meet the required quality and efficiency for the European training strategy.

It is expected that the trainer is driving the development of new training delivery concepts, such as virtual trainings, remote training concepts, using technologies like video sharing, VR/AR concepts, etc..

The majority of the trainings will be held in our European Training and Support facility in Ratingen (near Duesseldorf) in Germany. However, there will also be a requirement to conduct trainings in other European sites, like in Fujifilm’s Print Experience Centres in Ratingen/Germany or Brussels/Belgium, or other Fujifilm branches, or at one of our service partners, sometimes also at a customer site directly. The willingness to travel frequently is a must for this role.

The new Technical Trainer will of course receive a full training by our support specialists or by the manufacturer, possibly also overseas. As the training material and the training language will be in English, excellent English communication skills, reading, writing and verbal, are essential for this role.

Very good communication and didactive training skills are a must, together with an open minded and creative mindset.

The trainer will work very close with the 2nd level support specialists and will as such be a full member of the 2nd level support team. The different tasks within the team will be managed flexible, which could mean that the trainer will take over support tasks, such as escalation support, from the team. Future responsibilities may be extended to include support for refurbishing/repair tasks at the new training/support centre facility.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct and facilitate technical trainings for the range of Fujifilm POD, Toner based, products: Hardware trainings for the Engineer community in Europe and SW/RIP trainings for the Analyst/Application specialists community in Europe.
- Conduct key operator trainings to customers to enable them to diagnose certain faults and perform maintenance tasks in these areas.
- Developing new training strategy for the POD business in Europe, for the HW engineers, for the SW specialists and for the customers/key operators.
- Be in constant communication with the European team of 2nd level support specialists for HW and for SW.
- Work with existing training material from the manufacturer, but also identifying areas for improvement and, if needed, modify existing training documentation or create new training material, including multimedia contents.
- Develop and communicate training schedules and training events in accordance with business requirements and based on direction from the European POD management and marketing team.
- Driving a constant improvement process, identifying new and innovative opportunities, tools and delivery methods to increase training efficiency and quality.
- Conduct and analyse training surveys, to ensure areas for improvements are captured and implemented in future trainings.
- Handle and manage technical escalation support tasks within the 2nd level European Support team.

Qualifications:

- In depth technical knowledge and multiple years of experience as a technical trainer or as a hardware or software specialist for complex technical products.
- Excellent didactive communication skills, being able to explain complexity in an easy way, targeted and suitable for the skill level of the audience.
- Experience in toner-based printing technologies are an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, in English. Other European language skills are an advantage.
- Very good MS-Office knowledge.
- High level of service attitude.
