Freelance Translator/ Technical Writer

**Your responsibilities**
We are localizing our digital learning units (German source language) with the help of machine translation and human post-editing. As part of our quality assurance efforts, we would like to add an extra editing loop. For our mechatronic engineering content, we are looking for a native-level speaker/writer of English with a specialization in mechatronics.
- *

Proofreading:* You will check the translated learning units (vocational training for mechatronic engineers) to ensure technical correctness and use of the proper technical terms commonly used in English-speaking countries
- **Optimization**: You will coordinate with the translators and the project leads on basic rules and specialties of the English technical language and localization to regional varieties of English
- **Quality Assurance**: You will participate in team reviews on the translated content

**Essential Requirements**
- You are a native-level English speaker/writer and familiar with _international English_
- You have a very good knowledge of mechatronic engineering and the relevant technical terms
- You are enthusiastic about e-learning and digital education
- You work in a structured, independent manner and are familiar with agile working methods
- You enjoy working in a team and you would like to work at least 10 hours/week on average
