**Are you the person we are looking for?**
Due to extensive growth, we are looking for a Business Development Director to be a key player in our IOT Marketing & Business Development team. We will be looking for you to drive innovation in our Automotive GTM approach, establishing advocacy and thought leadership at target OEM customers. You will be responsible to develop a targeted mid
- to long-term GTM strategy per OEM account and domain to drive execution of this plan in alignment with Sales, Marketing and Product Management.
Utilising your accomplished skills and experience, combined with a proven record of driving business growth in Automotive as Tier1, you will be a self-starter with a passion for Automotive Software Sales committed to growing BlackBerry’s QNX success.
Reporting to the VP Product Marketing & Business Development, this is a unique opportunity to hit a hot, fast-growing market with an industry leading, ground-breaking & critically acclaimed RTOS.
**We will look for you to**:
- Understand the connected automotive ecosystem
- Analyze TAM/SAM across automotive software stack and identify white spots per customer, using internal team members input as a basis
- Work alongside the Product and Sales team to identify the most valuable upsell and cross-sell opportunities solving OEM business problems
- Develop account-by-account business development strategy in alignment with Sales Account Managers and deliver targeted Account Based Marketing activities
- Build relationships with key target OEMs and partners, as well as with internal teams
- Develop and communicate the value of BlackBerry IOT automotive offering and become a Trusted Advisor
- Work with the BlackBerry QNX and BlackBerry IVY organizations, developing a tailored 'offering’ including marketing collateral, development toolkits, reference materials, onboarding processes, operational & technical support, etc.
- Capture and distill product feedback from OEM and ecosystem partners and communicate it to the product management and strategy teams
**What we need you to bring**:
- Track record and ability to operate in up-and-coming organizations where a degree of initial ambiguity is the norm
- Ability to understand highly technical concepts, embedded automotive technology, and systems
- Comfort and validated effectiveness in pitching Automotive Software solutions to a technical and non-technical audience
- Strong analytical capabilities to derive business recommendations from market/finance data analysis
- Experience in independently driving initial customer explorations and product-focused meetings
- Commercial approach. Able to network to build the business and personal relationships with customers
- Accountability. You will be used to navigating complexities independently, troubleshooting through to resolution and delivering results
- Ideally, previous Tier 1 experience and an established network of contacts in the automotive sector and experience in building partnerships & ecosystems
