We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to support our agile customer projects as part of our automotive team in Germany. As Product Owner you will work with the customers’ Product
- and Project Managers to translate product requirements into Epics, Stories and tasks for the product backlog. You manage and prioritize the backlog to optimize product delivery. You enjoy mediating between customers’ and HARMAN stakeholders taking into account all constraints, such as team velocity, technical feasibility and timelines. You come with a true agile mindset and drive the development with innovative ideas and decisions to overcome project hurdles while never loosing focus on the product vision. You liaise with project managers and technical leads to gain solid understanding how your decisions impact functionality, effort, quality and timeline. As Product owner, you also ensure that business-, design-, quality
- and functional goals are met with each product release. Finally, you have a passion for innovation, you love learning about new technologies and concepts, and you are as excited about Automotive as we are.

What you will do:

- Take responsibility of specific functional areas of the product
- Collaborate with product architects and customer to translate product requirements into a coherent set of use cases and end user requirements
- Contribute to product feature specifications so that they are clearly understood by the development teams
- Work with customer and technical leads to determine scope, dependencies and priorities for assigning features to the respective product development increments.
- Work with development teams to ensure that they understand the vision and you understand the technical implications.
- Collaborate with other product owners to create a prioritized product feature backlog, that takes into account feature dependencies
- Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally, and as a main contact for queries related to the product
- Work with key stakeholders across the project to ensure successful product releases
- Manage Sprint Product backlog ownership for scrum teams

What You Need:

- Relevant University Degree (BSc, MSc, Dipl.Ing., Dipl.Inf.) or equivalent qualification
- More than 8 years of experience in automotive SW engineering (AD/ADAS, base vehicle functionality, etc.)
- Working knowledge in Functional Safety.
- Previous working experience as a product owner
- In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies, ideally experience in SAFe
- Solid technical background and experience in Software architecture and development
- Excellent communication-, organization-, and teamwork skills in cross functional teams. Multi-cultural and multi-site experience is a strong plus.
- English and German (min. B2 level) language skills are mandatory
- Ability to travel to all involved sites in Europe and Asia
