Senior Underwriter

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated **Senior Underwriter.**

**Key responsibilities**
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis of applicants, including financial statements, cash flow projections, and collateral evaluations.
- Assess borrower creditworthiness by analyzing credit histories, market conditions, industry risks, and overall financial health.
- Prepare comprehensive credit reports, including detailed risk assessments, recommendations, and appropriate credit terms.
- Collaborate with Investment Managers, Credit Analysts, and other stakeholders to structure loan proposals that mitigate risk while maximizing returns.
- Monitor the performance of existing loan portfolios, identifying early warning signals of deteriorating credit quality and taking proactive measures to mitigate potential risks.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes affecting the institutional loan sector.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior underwriters and analysts, sharing expertise and promoting best practices in credit risk management.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

**Required skills and experiences**
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM) is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in underwriting, credit risk analysis, or related roles within the banking or financial services industry.
- Demonstrated experience in underwriting institutional loans, specifically in the ticket size range of €5 million to €30 million.
- Strong understanding of credit risk management principles, financial analysis, and loan structuring.
- Proficiency in analyzing financial statements, cash flow analysis, and conducting collateral evaluations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory.
