The **Aircraft Mechanic 2 (Avionics/Electrical)** performs repairs and troubleshoots aircraft systems and malfunctions of avionics, navigation, electrical, and communications systems.
- Install, remove, inspect, test, adjust, or repair avionics equipment, such as radar, radio, and navigation systems in aircraft.
- Installs and repairs electrical wiring and/or cable on aircraft in adherence to established specifications.
- Cuts and strips wire, insulates connections.
- Assemble components such as switches, electrical controls, and junction boxes, using hand tools and soldering irons.
- Safely prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks and services.
- Perform scheduled inspections and assist in performing special inspections.
- Perform limited maintenance operational checks and diagnoses and troubleshoots aircraft systems using special tools and test equipment as required.
- Use and perform operator maintenance on tools, special tools and aircraft ground support equipment.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- High School Graduate or equivalent is required.
- Shall have Five (5) years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience.
- Must possess a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) **Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P)**, with at least Two (2) years' aviation maintenance experience, and Two years on the assigned MDS. (Army Rotary Wing UH60, CH47, AH64)
- All experience must be within the Five (5) most recent years.
- **If no A&P**, must possess an FCC License with Elements 1 and 3 as well as Three (3) years aviation maintenance experience, Three (3) years rotary wing aircraft experience and Two (2) years on the assigned Mission Design Series (MDS).

- Must have a current and valid US Passport.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a T1/CAC (NACI) US Government Clearance. Note**:US Citizenship** is required to obtain a T1/CAC (NACI) US Government Clearance.
- Germany Requirements**: TESA approval**: Must be able to qualify for TESA approval; must have over 5 years career total Aviation maintenance experience.
- Travel: As required in support of task order.
