**Job Description**:

**Job Summary**:

- PDP is hiring a project planner to join our project controls team with responsibility for delivering a large scale CAPEX project in the BioPharma Industry in Southern Germany.
- This person shall be reporting to the Project controls manager & Planning Lead. The Project Planner will have a primary objective to support the engineering, procurement, construction and Commissioning (EPCmV) group in the planning, and execution of large scale CAPEX projects by providing management with critical, decision-making information that ensures projects deliver on time.
- The overall role objective of the Project Planner/Scheduler, in conjunction with the PDP Project controls team, is to ensure that EPCMV projects are completed within set deadlines, on budget and in line with all the relevant safety standards and regulations.
- The Project Planner will provide expertise to the client project team to: 1) ensure adequate definition of scope within the integrated schedule; 2) establish reasonable baselines; 3) identify and manage risk; and 4) track, monitor, and report project performance.

**Main Responsibilities**

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Continuously develop and improve schedule detail, robustness and reliability.
- Intermediate experience level using project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera P6), Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to coordinate/organize multiple sources of schedule inputs/performance data into a master schedule platform and deliver project/program status reports as required.
- Ensure that schedule related data from vendors, suppliers, engineering and construction contractors is aligned and integrated to the overall Integrated Master Schedule.
- Produce manpower loadings and progress S-Curves.
- Monitor and report on project progress, including development of required trackers and KPIs.
- Prepare the Integrated Planning / Scheduling contribution to the Monthly Project Report and specific reports / presentations.
- Provide PMs and lead planner with tools and information in a clear and concise manner to inform rapid decision making.
- Monitor and report on internal productivity and issue Earned Value Analysis on a regular basis.
- Analyse deviations from the baseline in the Project Master schedule highlighting bottlenecks / delays and propose corrective actions.
- Attend meetings with the Project Team to discuss progress made and any issues that arise over the course of the project.
- Provide Primavera P6 outputs such as Variance reports, lookaheads, critical paths etc.
- Other work as needed in support of successful project delivery.

**Education and Experience**
- +5 years of experience in CAPEX projects with roles in planning/scheduling: preferably in Biotech or Pharmaceutical industries.
- Expertise in project controls and time/schedule management is required preferably within the Pharma/ Biotech or associated sectors.
- Expert experience level using project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera P6), Excel, PowerPoint and Pertmaster.
- Significant experience in schedule set up, baselining, monitoring and controlling on large scale projects across the all phased of EPCmV.
- Comprehensive understanding of risk and change management.
- Demonstrated problem solving ability in cross-functional environment.
- Advanced MS Excel.
- Software systems and packages including Primavera P6
- Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Develops good working relationships with project team
- Good Level in English, written and spoken. German a plus.
