**About Lumen**

**The Role**:
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop their career with the experience of working with a Global technology company, based in Frankfurt, Germany (hybrid). You will be part of a team of 30 people, split between London, Poznan, France, Germany and Spain.

Responsibilities include providing timely and accurate monthly EMEA Opex accounting and reporting under US GAAP, statutory reporting under German GAAP and as the German controller support the business on all finance related requirements.

The role is available on a part or full time basis, commitment of 24 - 40 hours per week.

**The Main Responsibilities**:

- Monthly Opex accounting and reporting responsibilities under US GAAP
- Statutory reporting under German GAAP for all our German entities, preparing a local TB, board packs and ability to comfortably deal with complex accounting issues
- Managing the German audits: meet local statutory deadlines by working closely with our auditors
- Preparing and reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, as per the Group timetable
- Providing support and guidance to the wider accounting teams on the annual statutory audits of other countries
- Close liaison with EMEA FP&A to assist with commentary against forecast for key Opex accounting areas
- Close working with the EMEA Tax team on annual tax computations, VAT Returns, ad-hoc Tax issues/requests and preparing quarterly forecasting for our Germany entities
- Working with Internal Audit on queries; with Procurement and AP to ensure consistency of accounting and clean balance sheet monthly positions
- Supporting the local business in Germany with all finance related issues, statistical filings and other local requirements
- Building strong relationships with various departments (Legal, Tax, HR etc) in the business and acting as the main point of contact in Germany for all finance related queries
- Assisting the Senior Manager and other stakeholders with automation efforts and Lumen EMEA separation activities

Minimum Requirements
- Experience within a similarly sized entity or from an accounting firm
- Strong knowledge of core German accounting principles
- Good planning / time management skills
- Microsoft Office - intermediate or advanced Excel skills
- Fluent in English and German, reading and writing

Preferred Requirements
- US GAAP reporting experience
- Experience of SAP or other large ERP systems such as Oracle.
