Marketing Director Emea

The Emarsys Marketing Director, EMEA reports directly to the CMO and serves as a member of the EMEA Senior Leadership Team. This role works closely with the other EMEA commercial leaders (specifically Sales and Client Success), as well as Product to provide vision, guide strategy and oversee execution across marketing disciplines for Emarsys. This role must combine an integrated digital marketing communications strategy with a data-driven, “math of marketing” approach to sales and marketing alignment - all to drive overall business objectives for revenue, new business sales, and retention and expansion of the existing client base.
**YOUR AREA OF RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Partner with leaders across the company - especially CMO and EMEA senior leaders - to translate business objectives into a comprehensive integrated marketing strategy.
- Collaborate with Commercial and Product organizations to align and continuously refine marketing strategies and tactics.
- Drive internal understanding and responsiveness to the EMEA marketing strategy, target market, messaging, and needs of current and potential clients.
- Own Marketing’s role in delivering an exceptional client experience throughout the prospect journey and client lifecycle.
- Represent both the voice of the market and the of client on all strategic and operational decisions.
- Refine, improve and align the organization on product and solution value propositions to position the company as a thought leader among customers, and against competitors.
- Manage and develop a team of 15-20; building capabilities and establishing goals to deliver results quarter over quarter, year over year. Engage and support career development. Hire and develop new talent as the organization scales
**YOUR PROFILE**:
- 10+ years of relevant, B2B marketing experience, preferably for a global SaaS software company
- Proven ability to successfully lead marketing strategy and execution for a complex SaaS software product
- Ability to plan and execute scalable go-to-market strategies to support company, sector and product growth - Both organic and inorganic
- An understanding of the sales pipeline, key drivers, and the role that marketing plays at each stage of the buyer and customer journeys
- A passion and track-record of conceiving and executing impactful brand campaigns and content that break through market clutter
- Ability to influence others and gain buy-in at the team, peer and executive level
- Fluency in German and English is a must
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business or related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-moving start-up environment, where everyone must be willing to be the “Floor Sweeper” and have a get it done attitude
