Then Game Art Brain is your chance We are a service provider for game art and graphics based in Berlin. Our start up was founded in 2017 and is growing steadily. Having worked with over 100+ clients in the gaming industry, our work mainly focuses on mobile and casual games.

You will get the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients in the gaming industry. Your primary task will be to support the 3d artists on the various projects we are doing for clients as an agency.

The job will be in Berlin. Only there we can discuss hybrid options where you come only certain days to the office.

Your Quests:

- Working alongside our 3d Artists
- Take responsibility for the technical implementation of artwork, visuals and assets
- Expertise in improving and simplifying processes where possible
- Make decisive choices on technical constraints and look for effective solutions for the wider team
- Offer technical support to the art team in day-by-day production issues
- Rigging, skinning, and asset setup ranging from characters, complex weapons and vehicles, for our current and future projects
- Evaluate and troubleshoot assets, look for bugs, and additional polish opportunities to ensure high quality
- Inspire, motivate, and mentor other artists in best practices, processes, and procedures pertaining to production
- Model assets along the 3d artists when non of the above tasks are at hand

Your Gear:

- 1+ years experience as a 3D Artist in the Gaming Industry.
- A good communicator who is comfortable taking direction and critique
- Able to provide clear feedback to your team members
- Self-managing and able to identify and meet goals
- Ability to assess content scope and ensure
- Successful delivery of content on tight deadlines
- Expert knowledge and production experience using Blender and Unity
- Experience with Substance3D Painter and Substance Designer
- Expertise with Photoshop
- Great time management skills
- Good understanding of composition, color, value and form as it relates to both classic art for and gameplay visuals
- Art Degree or equivalent working experience
- Capable of multitasking
- Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
- You like to pass on your knowledge
- You have a passion for any kind of games and their visuals

Blender:

- 3D Modeling, Boxmodeling, Retopo for Highpoly sculpts
- Good understanding of Blender Modifiers
- UV Map creation, checking of Texel Density Requirements
- Checking for correct Topology, UVs and visible UV seams, Normals, Weightpainting and Rig structure of other peoples work and ensuring a good asset quality overall
- Checking for meaningful naming Conventions on Meshes, Objects, Materials and Textures
- Animating/Rigging with Rigify, AutoRig Pro or Custom Rig Soulutions
- Blender Eevee Lighting and Compositing

Unity:

- Implementation of 3D Models, Rigs, Animations, Materials, Custom shaders and Custom Skyboxes in Unity.
- Able to work with Animation Controllers and Animation Sharing between different humanoid/generic rigs
- Good understanding of Prefabs and how to work with them efficiently
- Importing/Exporting Unity Packages
- Able to work with Unitys shader graph
- Able to use Unitys Particle system to create Special Effects
- Lighting and Presentation of Assets inside the game engine itself

Unreal Engine:

- Implementation of 3D Models, Rigs, Animations, Materials
- Able to use UEs particle system to create Special Effects
- Able to use Blueprints
- Lighting and Presentation of Assets inside the game engine itself
