TEXAID is the leading company for têxtile recycling in Europe today. With about 1'100 employees we collect, sort, and process more than 80'000 tons of têxtile waste in our own sorting and manufacturing plants in Switzerland, Germany, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Spain as well as in the US. The têxtile industry contributes a sizeable share of annual global GHG emission, making it a vital area in the fight against climate change. By giving a second life to têxtiles through re-use or recycling, TEXAID plays a key role in de-carbonizing the industry’s footprint and transforming têxtiles into a more sustainable resource. Texaid’s Retail Solutions business unit provides leading fashion retailers and brands with services for têxtile waste offtake, collection of used têxtiles in-store and via our proprietary online platform, consulting in têxtile circularity and refurbishment/cleaning solutions. **For our German HQ in Darmstadt we are looking for a**: **HEAD OF RETAIL SOLUTIONS** **(M/W/D)** Overview: As Head of Retail Solutions you will play a critical role in driving our ambitious strategy towards building TEXAID into the European leader in têxtile circularity. Acting in close collaboration with the CEO and management board you will steer our Retail Solutions business unit, which is a trusted partner to fashion brands and retailers in delivering integrated têxtile circularity solutions. Your Responsibilities: - Define the right product/solutions portfolio based on customer needs and commercial potential - Define clear business unit targets along financial performance and secured têxtile volumes - Collaborate with senior leads from collection, sorting and retail business to optimally use Texaid’s existing capabilities and infrastructure for a successful & efficient delivery of Retail Solutions - Establish a transparent KPI-based performance tracking (e.g., collected têxtile volumes, # of brands served, contracts closed) and regularly present results to management board - Lead and oversee creation of targeted marketing material and optimize based on customer perception - Define go-to-market approach along target market (e.g., luxury brands, fast fashion, boutiques, manufacturers), suitable customer acquisition approach and targeted offerings - Manage the sales team by setting performance goals and supporting the team to reach full potential - Lead outreach and negotiations with strategic customers & industry partners - Hire, lead, motivate, and grow a multidisciplinary team of sales specialists and account managers; provide coaching, performance management, and technical guidance that encourages growth within the team and collaboration across Texaid What we expect of you: - 10+ years of experience in consumer/industrial goods sales, marketing or strategic sourcing - 3+ years of experience in management of teams and P&L responsibility - Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, marketing, public relations or similar - Strong business acumen, additional business education (e.g., MBA) is beneficial - Experience establishing and executing business/investment cases, and managing budgets - Strong track record of establishing relationships with institutional customers and suppliers - Ambition to work in a sustainability-oriented business, and making a positive impact - Strong drive to get an intricate understanding of TEXAIDs business with the interplays and interfaces of the business units and external stakeholders - Ability to lead and facilitate teams and resolve conflicts - Creativity in solving problems and generating innovative solutions, and ability to help others organize problem solving What we offer you: - Attractive working conditions in a dynamic and growing sustainable business - Interesting and challenging projects allowing you to take responsibility with room for leadership - Close contact and engagement with the seasoned leadership - Interesting growth opportunities within our expanding company to boost your career - Attractive compensation with above-average contributions to oc
