Your tasks
The position can be staffed in Hanover, Frankfurt am Main or Szeged (Hungary).
Key Responsibilities:
- Internal Compliance Program (ICP) Development: Develop and maintain an Internal Compliance Program for Export Control and Sanctions, ensuring alignment with global policies and standards (Governance).
- Senior Management and Board Advisory: Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to senior management and the board on matters related to Export Control and Sanctions compliance.
- Legal Counseling: Offer legal counseling and advice to Centers of Competence, business units, and core central functions such as R&D, M&A, and Finance.
- Project Work: Participate in and provide legal support for various projects related to Export Control and Sanctions.
- Regulatory Watch: Monitor and analyze regulatory developments in Export Control and Sanctions to ensure compliance and inform relevant stakeholders.
- Information Management: Manage and disseminate information related to Export Control and Sanctions compliance.
- Training Development: Develop and deliver training programs on Export Control and Sanctions compliance for employees.
- External Communication: Communicate with political entities, ministries, authorities, associations, and external counsels regarding Export Control and Sanctions matters.
**Profile**:
- Fully qualified and accredited lawyer with profound academic background
- Several years of professional experience with legislative work and proceedings
- Knowledge regarding development of policies and procedures;
- Experience and insights in public authorities (beneficial)
- Excellent knowledge of EU and profound knowledge of US (Re-) Export Control and Sanction law
- Experience as lawyer (internal or external) helpful
- Experience with the development of an EC Internal Compliance Program
- Experience with international EC relevant working groups and/or organizations (beneficial)
- Fluent English language skills written and spoken, German language skills beneficial
- Independent working style, problem-solving and analytical skills
