**Job Description**:
The Head of Operations is responsible for leading the operations function including production, supply chain, commodity and purchasing.

Main responsibilities are:

- Ensure timely, qualitative and effective delivery of goods to clients.
- Manage operations budget to ensure mínimal production cost and optimal product quality.
- Review production processes and procedure to ensure they operate at highest possible efficiency.
- Collaborate with health/safety managers to develop and implement safety policies for general plant operations.
- Oversee the hiring and training of key staff to ensure a capable workforce.
- Liaise with purchasing managers to develop and improve supplier relationship.
- Grow team members through conducting employee performance appraisals to identify areas of limitation in order to provide coaching and guidance.
- Optimize production process by eliminating wastes and other constraints to improve work efficiency.
- Oversee the long term planning and initiatives geared towards enhanced operations.
- Identify future threats and opportunities to further improve the production operations and overall efficiency of the site.
- Prepare and submit to upper management regular reports of plant operations.
- Maintain positive trust relationship with suppliers to ensure constant flow of required raw materials.
- Utilize cost-benefit analytical techniques in improving operational efficiency.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, industrial engineering, industrial management, or in a related discipline + Master’s degree in business administration or finance.
- Proven track record in lean manufacturing principles and business process excellence.

**Experience**:

- At least fifteen years of experience in a technology driven environment
- Previous experience in leading Production or Supply Chain.
- Capacity to assemble coalitions, build consensus, lead and develop staff.

Competencies:

- Teamwork, impeccable ethical standards, ability to quickly adjust to change and to work under pressure.
- Strong intercultural skills
- Customer service orientation.
- Outstanding written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously.
- Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally.
