**This role will pay between €210 - €220 per day.**

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented German Copy Editor to join our English company with large US clients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create SEO-optimized content outlines for writers.
- Review and edit German-language articles and website copy for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and style
- Ensure that the content is clear, concise, and consistent with company style guidelines
- Identify and correct errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax
- Check for consistency in style, formatting, and usage
- Ensure that the content is appropriate for the intended audience
- Optimize existing client content for SEO
- Work closely with the content team to ensure that all content is delivered on time and to the highest standard
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement where necessary
- Review sample content written in German to help the recruitment team hire writers
- Translate English content into German
- Existing knowledge of SEO is a bonus but not a requirement
- Work closely with the English-speaking content and editing team

**Requirements**:

- Native German speaker with excellent written and spoken German language skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors in grammar, punctuation, and syntax
- Proven experience as a copy editor or similar role
- Strong understanding of German grammar, style, and usage
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. All communications with the employer will be conducted in English
