Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an System Architect, ADAS (M/F/d) located in Stuttgart, Germany.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Design, Process and Technology Engineering, the System Architect’s role involves leading Flex’s technology development in support of prospective and active ADAS programs, interfacing with multiple stakeholders while identifying requirements, technology and development activities for ADAS controllers. Additionally, you will provide technical leadership to develop internal roadmaps, engage potential customers, and propose technical solutions to win OEM business worldwide.

What a typical day looks like:

- You lead system and product requirements specifications, solution definition, technical feasibility analysis, and architecture specification and Identify, analyze, and review program sustaining activities.
- You provide technical guidance for system design and integration engineering activities to customers and peers and ensure the integrity of system designs.
- You provide insights and engineering support for sales presentations and technical solutions discussions, with prospective customers.
- You respond to customer inquiries concerning complex system design approaches and issues and provide technical advice for product/systems roadmap definition based on expert knowledge of ECU specific technologies and customer use cases.
- You develop and/or approve architecture requirements, models, and diagrams and are responsible for architecture level development and testing.
- You provide technical input to RFP/RFQ responses.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

- Someone with a degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. electrical or electronic engineering) as well as the skillset and experience to have in-depth conversations with experts in the field
- Knowledge of leading-edge, scalable technology solutions for ADAS, L2 and beyond
- Design experience of in vehicle CPU/GPU computing platforms, and good understanding of the component landscape, bringing automotive computing platform electronics design into production
- Strong knowledge of state-of-the-art computing systems and interfaces required for sensors, actuators, firmware development, in vehicle bus architectures
- Knowledge of applicable safety standards including ISO, IEC, ASPICE and others (e.g. Certified Competent Assessor Automotive SPICE)
- Ability to travel internationally and someone who is comfortable engaging directly with customers, developing engineering proposals for customer sales engagements
- Strong written and written skills in German and English to successfully interface with our customers
