As an Aftersales Technical Support Specialist, you will join a global team of product experts in PA Process Automation with a focus on cutting-edge process automation products within the Energy, Process and Marine industries.

**This position reports to**:
Regional Head of Aftersales Technical Support EMEA

**Your responsibilities**:

- Supporting our customers in using ABB’s Process Automation DCS solutions with focus on ABB Ability System 800xA and Edgenius
- Build and maintain a technical infrastructure that support you and global team in testing solutions, workarounds as well as reproducing product deficiencies
- Build-up and maintain technical competence in ABB’s DCS product portfolio and digital solutions
- Co-operating with R&D organizations, ABB front end organizations and end customers
- Work together with software development teams to ensure that useability and supportability requirements are considered
- Diagnose and Isolate problems through analysis of user problem descriptions, review of log files, remote diagnostics, etc.
- Manage support cases and documentation proposed resolution concerning DCS and digital products
- Contribute to knowledge sharing in local and global support team
- In this position, you’ll enjoy autonomy and ability to shape your own workday. The role involves independent work and productive interactions with team members.

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- You have a great interest in technology
- Experience in process automation, virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware), cloud-based technologies (Red Hat OpenShift Platform, Kubernetes) and in ABB PAPCP products (ABB Ability System 800xA and Edgenius) is considered an advantage
- Demonstrated sense of ownership and responsibility working both individually and in a team
- Good German and English communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Open for domestic and international travel in specific cases
