Quality Expert Flat Roofing

This position reports to the Quality Director and is preferably based in Heusenstamm, Germany. It will require regular travel to BMI locations in Europe.

**Key responsibilities**
- Supports development of the quality assurance (QA) system (BMI Group standard & ISO 9001) to ensure the conformity of the products to BMI Group standards and internal/external quality standards.
- CE marking and DoP expertise & support to country quality
- Administrates central quality-related documents (DMS) and Central IT Quality tools.
- Supports administration of the BMI complaint process.
- Analyses the BMI complaint report and identifies improvement potential for production and the Management.
- Supports the process of continuous quality improvement.
- Supports improvement of technical and process standards (e.g. on basis of weak point analysis).
- Administration of the BMI validation process/guarantee approval process (RCN).
- Creates quality related training material and administers quality training.
- Administrates Quality KPI processes,
- Translates product requirements (defined by product Management) into quality-related documents at group level for Flat products.
- Provides Quality expertise in case of quality problems to support Country Quality management.
- Administors Internal & External Audit process and performs audits
- Supports the legal department in cases of insurance matters (product failures)
- Supports risk assessments in case of serial product damages.

**Professional Experiences & Qualifications**
- Master degree in chemistry or engineering, or comparable technical education/experience
- Several years of working experience in quality
- Knowledge of QM Audit processes (eg ISO 9001)
- Knowledge of statistical process control.
- Knowledge of problem solving techniques (6 sigma, 5 why, Ishikawa etc)
- Experience in using IT quality systems
- Technical know-how, knowledge about products
- Willingness to travel 40% of working time
- Business fluent English
