**Job Purpose**:

- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS following the company’s timelines. Ensure timely and accurate closing of the books
- Annual preparation of Financial Statements according to German GAAP
- Oversee the invoicing process, ensuring it adheres to internal guidelines (IFRS 15) and drive the dunning process
- Supervise Accounts Payable function managed by a shared service centre. Monitor payment transactions, cash planning etc.
- Manage travel expense accounting in DACH region
- Lead interaction with both external and internal auditors (e.g. statutory audit, tax audit) and tax advisors and coordinate with internal stakeholders to drive a timely completion of audits, tax filings etc.
- Manage monthly & annual VAT returns
- Monitor payroll accounts and fixed asset accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Respond to ad-hoc requests from management and external stakeholders such as the tax office, auditors, banks, etc.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Qualified Accountant with approx. 5 years of experience in Accounting, Auditing or Finance functions with solid knowledge of Financial Reporting and Accounting processes
- Extensive knowledge of SAP or other ERP system
- Knowledge of preparation of financial statements according to HGB and IFRS
- Advanced MS Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Motivated, flexible, result-oriented and comfortable with periods of high work pressure
- Fluent command of both German and English, both written and spoken

**Preferred Qualifications and Skills**:

- Desired: Experience in working in a multinational corporation with exposure to Sarbanes-Oxley control requirements for internal processes
