**About our client**:
For our client, a worldwide leading auto parts supplier from China, which is specialized in design, manufacturing and sales of exterior auto parts, we are looking for a CAD Designer/ Product Designer (full-time position).
**Qualifications and knowledge**:
- Completed technical studies in the field of development, design, mechanical engineering or similar disciplines or comparable education with relevant experience
- At least two years of experience in construction / design / development in the automotive sector with Siemens NX or CATIA V5
- Extensive design, process and material knowledge, experience with trim would be desirable. Strong experience with plastic product and process development. Experience with stamping, deep-drawing and extrusion parts
- System knowledge and user experience of specific OEM systems and requirements (preferably VW; BMW; Daimler)
- Business fluent in German and English
- Willingness to travel
- An open and intercultural attitude; experience in working with China is desirable
**Duties and responsibilities**:
- Designing plastic exterior components and/or vehicle trims in 2D and 3D using CATIA and/or NX, taking into account development specifications and quality standards
- Constructive support of the component throughout the product development process
- Adapting, analyzing, and optimizing drawings and designs
- Guiding and checking CAD development work of external service providers
- Responsible for product measurements
- Close cooperation with the German and Chinese project managers regarding design and project coordination in the area of development
- Support the engineering department at China about customer-oriented design work.
- Support the teams of our Chinese parent company in the development of new technologies and train the teams in production technologies.
