Senior Accountant

In the role of Senior Accountant, you are responsible for driving the day-to-day activities in the accounting department. Furthermore, you will help develop and implement systems for collecting, analysing, verifying and reporting information and taking the Accounting department to the next level. You will be part of our multi-national team that is composed of passionate accounting professionals located in Munich, Frankfurt, London, Luxembourg, Mexico City, Sao Paolo and Singapore.

**What you will be doing**:

- Responsible for owning the revenue recording process, working closing with the Fin Ops team, ensuring the accurate calculation, posting and transferring of revenue fees.
- Managing the daily accounts function, including sales and purchase ledger activities, debt collection management and intercompany reconciliations.
- Ensuring the accurate and timely posting of journal entries such as transfer pricing, accruals, software development adjustments, etc.
- Preparation of management accounts and month end analysis
- Supporting annual financial statements preparation according to HGB and IFRS.
- Preparation and reconciliation of the monthly VAT accounts and returns for the German tax grou
- Responsible for performing the month-end and year-end closing preparation for specific subsidiaries
- Act as first contact person for the auditors for year-end audit.
- Support the development and optimisation of our accounting processes.

**You'll need to have**:

- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in accounting within an international or tax consulting company with focus on IFRS or German GAAP
- Solid VAT knowledge
- Very good knowledge and experience in IFRS and local GAAP accounting standards (HGB)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with remote teams
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large data sets
- Excel skills (advanced)
- A CPA/CA/ACCA license is a big advantage
- Very good communication skills in English, German language skills are advantageous.
- Need to be eligible to live and work in Germany
