This is a full-time position.
The salary is based on the German public service salary scale (TV-L).
The position corresponds to a pay grade of EG 13 TV-L.

The R&D project builds on the results of a completed PhD at the chair. The new funding is in the CORNET: COllective Research NETworking programme. This is a network of ministries and funding agencies that combine their existing funding programmes to increase the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In this way, CORNET supports new funding agencies worldwide in launching pilot actions and programmes for pre-competitive collaborative research. Our CORNET cooperation network consists of the Institute of Textile Technology (ITA) of RWTH Aachen University as well as other university partners in Germany and Belgium and other research institutes. As affiliated partners, a network of more than 25 companies from the fields of sensor technology, health research and têxtile technology in the Euregio supports the project team.

In particular, the position is very close to industry and therefore offers the possibility of entering a scientific or industrial career.

**Ihr Profil**:

- You have an above-average university degree (Master's or comparable) in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or materials science and a doctorate in these fields.
- You have an interest in innovative, interdisciplinary and industry-related topics.
- You have experience in the field of or printed electronics or smart têxtiles.
- You have experience with methods of data processing and the evaluation of multi-sensor data - possibly in connection with machine learning methods.
- Basic knowledge or experience with cleanroom technology and thin-film technology is helpful but not mandatory.
- You have a high degree of responsibility and initiative and are confident and communicative in English.

**Ihre Aufgaben**:

- Design, manufacture and characterisation of microelectronic circuits that can be stuck onto the skin.
- Collaboration with the Institute of Textile Technology (ITA) at RWTH Aachen University to wirelessly connect the skin-applied sensor technology to the smart têxtiles.
- Development and supervision of projects for students in the context of research internships as well as Bachelor's and Master's theses.
- Preparation and presentation of results within the framework of group meetings, seminars and conferences.
- Presentation of project progress in the context of project meetings in the joint project in the presence of the project partners and company representatives.
- Independent preparation of project reports and publications.
- Independent preparation and coordination of work processes of own work within the project and within work packages in cooperation with the project partners.
