**Duties**: - Routine work is conducted independently following proper safety procedures. Specific instructions are provided with new assignments. - Completed work is reviewed for compliance with instructions and established practices. Responsible to check and perform simple maintenance on equipment. Maintenance repairs that require disassembly or realignment are reported to the supervisor. - Requires frequent lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 40 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds. Require to stand, walk bend and kneel for lengthy periods of time. A pre-employment physical will be required. - Works indoors and outdoors. May be exposed to adverse weather conditions when working outdoors. Exposed to drafts, noise, dust, and dirt. Possibility of bruises, muscle strains, cuts and scrapes. **Requirements**: **Conditions of Employment**: - Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. - Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15.m., and a background investigation is required. - A one year probationary period may be required. - Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty. - Citizenship eligible under country SOFA agreement. - Position will be mostly working outdoors, shoveling snow, landscaping and yard maintenance. - Required to work shifts to include weekends, nights and federal holidays. - Successful completion of training requirements and demonstrated on the job competency is required. - In consideration of COVID-19, personnel within this area may routinely wear personal protective equipment (cloth face coverings, latex gloves, and face shields) while performing their regular duties. **Qualifications**: - Manual skill to lift and move moderately heavy objects. Skill and knowledge to safely operate simple power equipment and hand tools (lawn mowers, leaf blowers, edgers and trimmers, scrubbers and buffers, steam cleaners and vacuums). - A basic knowledge is required of routine maintenance procedures for power equipment.**Highly desirable experience: Six (6) months or more of verifiable gardening or landscaping experience.
