The Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research (AWI) is a member of the Helmholtz Association (HGF) and funded by federal and state government. AWI focuses on polar and marine research in a variety of disciplines such as biology, oceanography, geology, geochemistry and geophysics thus allowing multidisciplinary approaches to scientific goals.
- Project assistant for an international project in the Weddell Sea (Antarctica) (d/M/F)

**Background**

**Tasks**
- Coordination of reporting and project publications (e.g. final report, policy brief, fact sheets, website)
- Data management
- Organization and documentation of project meetings (online and face-to-face)

**Requirements**:

- Very good communication skills
- Excellent English language skills
- Extensive experience in data management
- Experience in international research projects

- Good organizational skills
- Experience in project management
- International experience

**Further Information**

This is a full-time position, limited to March 31st, 2027 and starts at April 1st, 2025 earliest. It is also suitable for part-time employment. The salary will be paid in accordance with the Collective Agreement for the Public Service of the Federation (Tarifvertrag des öffentlichen Dienstes, TVöD Bund), up to salary level **9b**. The place of employment will be **Bremerhaven.**
