We are looking for a Paralegal (US law) for our Legal Team, full-time or part-time **You will**: - Support Babbel's Legal Department, including completing administrative tasks - Support in corporate housekeeping matters and legal project management - Research and analyze legal inquiries and provide legal advice related to general civil law, competition law, commercial law, consumer law, corporate law, data protection law and IP law, including trademark law - Support in the preparation, implementation and filing of contracts, letters, written pleadings, powers of attorney, processes/guidelines and other legal documents - Maintain Babbel's legal database and archive **You are**: - A lawyer who has passed the bar exam in one or more US states and has practiced law for a minimum of two years at a law firm or in-house at a corporation or similar entity - An independent self-starter, with a high level of commitment and a "hands-on" mentality **You have**: - US legal education - Work experience as Paralegal - Strong analytical skills, which allow you to quickly grasp and present legal issues - Fluent in English (oral and written skills) - Good MS Office skills - A sense of humor, common sense and a good team spirit Nice-to-have - Work experience from an international environment - Preferably, you have prior work experience in the area of data protection law - German language skills **Some perks of becoming a Babbelonian**: - Enjoy 30 vacation days and the chance to take a 3-month Sabbatical.
