FOR MULTIPLE MOBILE ROBOTICS COOPERATION (M/W/D)
**Latest technologies in harsh environments** - At ROSEN, this means industrial research on inspection systems used worldwide for the safe operation of industrial plants. In our interdisciplinary Science Disciplines department, we perform research on new technologies and develop innovative electronic prototypes.
A wide variety of autonomous systems are used in different areas at ROSEN. In order to navigate safely and precisely in complex environments, our robots necessarily require efficient algorithms. In our department, we work on both hardware and software so that the systems can operate safely and precisely in complex environments. You will have access to state-of-the-art test environments for testing and validation. Support us to ensure that our robots can navigate in challenging environment and perform complex tasks.
The task of this thesis is the evaluation and design or adaption of algorithms for swarm or cooperative motion of robots in harsh environments.
ACTIVITIES
- Independently working on subtasks in the field of robotics programming based on a four-wheel robot
- Navigation and localization
- Mapping and exploration with cooperating robots
- Adaptation and optimization of existing algorithms and libraries
- Coordination of the work content and integration of the projects into the ROSEN Robotic Roadmap
- Active collaboration in the projects and participation in meetings
**REQUIREMENTS**:
To become part of the ROSEN family, you should bring the following abilities:
- Be a university student in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or similar fields
- Experience with Robot Operating System (ROS)
- Programming skills: C++ or Python
- Work structuring ability and analytical thinking
- Systematic, goal-driven working
- Team and independent working
