System Administrator in Germany

**Andersen**invites a **System Administrator in Germany** for a project in the field of Automotive.

**The role** involves automating Azure platform operations using Terraform, managing security and governance (including RBAC and policy enforcement), supporting workload migrations, optimizing cloud costs, enabling self-service through the Azure Service Catalog, and maintaining dashboards and technical documentation.

**The position involves visiting the client’s office in Bamberg, Germany.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Designing, extending, and automating landing zones using Terraform.
- Developing reusable Terraform modules for standardized Azure workloads.
- Integrating Azure DNS and private endpoints to support hybrid workloads.
- Defining and enforcing security and compliance policies.
- Implementing and managing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Centralizing monitoring, logging, alerting, and integrating with ticketing systems.
- Executing operational tasks within the Azure environment.
- Advising internal stakeholders on cloud architecture and best practices.
- Monitoring and optimizing Azure resource consumption.
- Building and maintaining dashboards for KPIs, resource inventory, and cost tracking.
- Developing and maintaining self-service offerings through the Azure Service Catalog.
- Creating and continuously updating technical documentation for infrastructure, processes, and services.

**Must-haves**:

- Professional experience as a System Administator for 3+ years.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and architecture.
- Solid understanding of Azure networking, including DNS, Private Endpoints, and hybrid connectivity.
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and alerting systems.
- Ability to integrate monitoring with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform).
- Understanding of DevOps approaches and CI/CD processes.
- Experience in technical leadership or as a technical contact in agile teams.
- Strong communication skills and a high degree of personal responsibility.
- Knowledge of FinOps or cloud cost management.
- Level of English - from Intermediate and above.
- Level of German - from Upper-Intermediate and above.
