As a **Marketing Specialist Europe - ESS + Automotive (all genders)**, you will manage and execute offline marketing activities, with a strong focus on event management, to support A123’s European team. You will organize events, oversee exhibits, create print materials, coordinate giveaways, and support the setup and operation of our user experience center. In this role, you will collaborate with agencies, translate marketing materials between English and German, and work closely with Product Management and Sales to enhance brand awareness and develop effective marketing tools.

**Responsibilities**:

- Organize events, manage exhibits and all related material, plan booth staff and support in organizing travel needs, evaluation/ analysis of events etc
- Set up and run our user experience center; layout and plan exhibits, work closely with agency to set up the center
- Close liaison with service providers, briefing, monitoring progress, evaluation of activities, cost analysis
- Create print material such as brochures, flyers, roll-ups: Layout, content-generation, print
- Organization and management of give-aways
- Translate and proof-read marketing information

- Collaborate closely with Product Management and Sales to develop the right marketing tools (B2B and B2C)
- Collaborate with international marketing teams
- Improve A123 brand awareness

**Education & Experience**:

- 2-3 years experience in B2B2C marketing with an emphasis on event management and graphics
- Experience in the solar / battery energy storage market preferred
- Ability to negotiate with agencies
- Creative and pro-active approach

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- A fundamental understanding of the core technology with its benefits and identification of its unique selling points
- Understanding of the solar/BESS market and its main distributors
- Must be a highly organized and structured person and creative thinker
- Team player, who thrives in a start-up culture with minimum or developing policies and procedures and confident in sharing opinions with all levels of management
- Must be self-motivated
- Excellent language skills in German and English. A third language is preferred
- Proficient in working with MS-Office and Adobe
