Director - Real Estate Syndicate

Real Estate Syndicate is a part of Debt Syndicate, which is a product unit at the core of UniCredit’s Advisory & Financing Solutions business within Client Solutions. Our clients are companies from small and medium enterprises to large multinational corporates. The role will take responsibility for structuring, pricing and placement of syndicated loans for Real Estate clients across our core markets. The Real Estate Syndicate expert will work in close coordination with real estate specialists from origination and coverage, as well as with other capital markets teams. Typical transactions include acquisition financing, development projects, capital market bridges and refinancings for real estate investors and corporate real estate groups.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Manage preparation and delivery of client presentations using market knowledge to support marketing efforts for syndicated facilities
- Review / negotiation of term sheets, mandate letters and documentation to ensure marketability (for banks, insurers and other financial investors, as required)
- Assessing underwriting opportunities and take underwriting positions, where appropriate, in close cooperation with origination and relevant committees
- Internal communication of relevant market developments
- Analysis of banking market and developing appropriate syndication strategies
- Preparation of marketing materials for the syndication process
- Establish market contacts, build-up and develop knowledge of the market in order to contribute to the structuring, pricing and syndication phases of Real Estate transactions
- Preparation of syndicate opinions for credit committees
- Training of junior staff
- Contribute to internal reporting

**What you'll need to succeed**:

- Strong credit background, in particular origination in the real estate sector and in relation to assessing syndicated loans and documentation
- At least 5 years’ experience in syndicate or debt capital markets
- Strong verbal and written German & English language skills
- Logical approach to problem analysis, strong communication skills
- Confidence in own judgement, coupled with ability to listen and incorporate views of others
- Self-motivated, goal oriented, self-confident, pro-active, team oriented
- High level of general education with a focus on finance/banking/capital markets
- Ability to work flexibly with uneven workflows and to strict deadlines without reducing attention to detail
- Time management competence
- Expertise in Microsoft Office, syndicate platforms such as Dealogic and Debtdomain and other systems (e.g. Bloomberg)
