Project Specialist for Global Finance

We are currently seeking to hire a highly motivated and dedicated Project Specialist for Global Finance to join our team based at our Headquarters in Hamburg, Germany.

Your key responsibilities:

- You drive change as part of a Global Finance PMO for projects on the CFO agenda
- You contribute with expert knowledge to projects developing innovative, automated and digital solutions for Evotec’s global Finance processes and systems
- You independently manage and complete tasks and sub-projects for successful project completion based on defined scopes
- You prepare relevant project documentation and assist the project lead in coordinating meetings and monitoring progress
- You coordinate project-related collaboration across related departments/functions such as IT, Legal, Procurement, Operations
- You prepare presentations for the finance leadership and management board as required
- You contribute to developing (jointly with the team) state of the art state of the art project management standards and foster a project management culture within Finance

Your ideal qualifications:

- You hold a master’s degree in Business, Business Informatics, Economics or a related field and are proficient in basic finance and accounting principles
- You have work experience in a large international corporation or in a consultancy firm, with a focus on improving finance processes and systems
- You show a strong interest in optimisation and digitalisation of Finance and Controlling processes at the interface to other functional areas (e.g., IT)
- You have first project management experience
- You are pressure resistant, adaptable to fast pace and able to deal with ambiguity
- You have a build and growth mindset (you are curious and seeks out opportunities to further learn, see challenges as opportunity to learn and grow, constantly question status quo for improvement)
- You have a high learning agility (you are a fast learner, you embrace experimentation and learning from mistakes, and constantly give and ask for feedback)
- You have high emotional intelligence (you are self-aware of own emotions and manage them; show strong ability to identify emotions of others to adjust own actions, create value in interaction with others)
- You are highly collaborative and enjoy networking inside and outside of your organization
- You are caring of people around you
- You have international experience (have lived and/or worked outside Germany)
- You have excellent written and verbal German and English communication skills
- You have worked in SOX compliant companies
- You have worked in a Biotech/Pharma environment
- You are familiar with the ERP systems SAP and IFS
- You have worked with or managed projects through the Tools Jira and Confluence
