**Your mission**:
- Oversee the entire general ledger process, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in accordance with German GAAP
- Conduct regular account reconciliations and analyses to guarantee the accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial statements in compliance with German GAAP
- Maintain robust internal controls and ensure adherence to legal regulations and accounting policies
- Ensure that payroll is processed in time by an outsourced accounting company, ensuring timely payment to employees
- Document and enhance existing accounting processes to streamline workflows and drive efficiencies
- Support the preparation of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations
- Respond to inquiries from management and external auditors as needed.
**Your profile**:
- Degree in business administration with a focus on accounting and/or commercial education with further training as an accountant (M/F/x) (IHK)
- 2-3 years experience in accounting, ideally in the technology sector or in SaaS-based business models
- Very good understanding of German GAAP
- A completed training as a payroll accountant (M/F/x) (IHK) would be a plus
- Profound knowledge in working with Excel as well as with accounting systems such as DATEV and Business Central
- Analytical thinking, high affinity for numbers, structured and precise way of working
- Fluent communication skills in German and English
