Internship in Machine Learning for Vehicle Data

**Aufgaben**:
Mercedes Benz Mobility AG (MBM) supports the sales of Mercedes-Benz Groups automobile brands with tailor-made financial services. The products range from leasing, retail financing and dealer financing to commercial fleet management, insurance solutions, banking services and innovative mobility services. MBM operates in more than 40 countries. With more than 10.000 employees, the company services a contract volume of about 120 billion Euros.
We are looking for an intern who will - amongst other tasks - especially support us in improving our image recognition AI.
**Your will be:
- Implementing a new version of our image recognition AI for vehicles
- Improving our optical character recognition service for reading VIN stickers
- Actively maintaining and improving our Ray-Serve-based machine learning deployment
- Analyze requirements together with stakeholders
- Coordinate and supervise the creation of training images and annotation
- Work with the team to find new business use cases for image recognition
- Ensure data quality and optimize the model performance
- Prepare the service deployment with integration tests
- Create an excellent internal documentation
- Prepare presentations and briefings for internal panels

**Here's what you bring with you:
- Studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
- Very good communication skills and proficiency in English and German (as to the multinational line-up of our team, we communicate in English on a daily basis)
- Expertise in Python and object oriented software development
- Experience in machine learning and image recognition technologies
- Interest in agile software development methods, rapid prototyping, DevOps
- Knowledge of modern software development patterns such as microservices / API management
- Knowledge of frameworks like OpenCV, Tensorflow, PyTorch, Postman, Selenium are of advantage
- Knowledge of agile collaboration tools like JIRA, Confluence is beneficial
- Ability to both work independently as well as collaboratively
- Eagerness to learn and ability to adapt to new situations quickly
- Communication skills and intercultural competency
