As Head of Accounting Germany, you will lead the accounting and financial statements Team for the German Onshore, PV and storage development, construction and operation activities in an exciting, dynamic and inspiring environment of growth and new opportunities. You will be responsible for managing all local statutory (HGB) financial statements, IFRS group reporting packages and accounting projects and processes in Germany, maintaining a functioning system of internal controls over financial reporting. Furthermore, you will act as the interface to the transactional accounting team in the European Shared Service Center in Katowice/Poland as well as local external bookkeeping service providers. You will manage all business/M&A projects related accounting issues in the respective area and will coordinate and support OPEA wide SAP S4 HANA projects as well as the optimisation of the Share Service Center collaboration model.

**Your Tasks**:

- Financial statements preparation under local Statutory GAAP and IFRS (quarterly packages) including managing subledgers (Deferred Taxes, provisions etc.) and interface to SSC/local bookkeeping providers including ensuring functioning financially related internal control system (ICS) and managing auditors
- Providing local accounting business/M&A support in collaboration with the Financial Reporting & Projects team
- Collaborate and continuously improve collaboration with Tax, Treasury, Controlling, Finance, HR and legal functions both within OPEA Onshore, PV and storage and RWE AG as well as the SSC
- Participation values and local asset impairment test management, dividend planning for OPEA segment, managing the finance function for partnerships and hold local Board mandates
- Developing the local accounting organization and staff according to business requirements and driving efficiency

**Your Profile**:

- Proven finance systems and processes professional with strong expertise in ERP systems (SAP) was well as reporting systems (SAP SEM BCS) and complex finance processes of a large multinational corporation
- Relevant working experience, preferably with time in a Big 4 audit firm followed by a senior finance management position within the energy industry
- Comfortable with complex systems and process structures as well as accounting and business topics and ability to handle situations of conflicting interest and willingness to develop pragmatic solutions
- Strong technical experience in both IFRS and German GAAP (HGB) and corporate law accounting-related requirements demonstrated via University/higher education degree Accounting/auditing professional body qualification (Qualified/Chartered/Certified Accountant/auditor degree)
- English and German is mandatory
