**About the opportunity**:
We are currently looking for a People Business Partner to join our People team on an incredibly exciting journey to become the global leader in on-demand retail. Our Business Partnering team drives healthy organisational growth through world-class management & leadership.

This role will be based in Berlin and will report into the Director Head of People DACH.

**In this role you will**:

- Partner with business leaders and Warehouse management as a dedicated HR Business partner for mainly the German market, by providing HR, leadership and management support.
- Support our business leaders in building realistic growth and development plans and you actively translate these plans into effective hiring plans.
- Implement Performance Management tools.
- Assist in raising productivity and effectiveness within the operational organization
- Supporting development of sick leave policy and coach management in successful reduction of absenteeism.
- Drive data-informed decisions and support in calibrating and rewarding high performance.
- Evolve the Gorillas organisational effectiveness by supporting and implementing global people programs.
- Advocate a safe and secure environment for our employees.
- Foster leadership development activities in your business area either through a global Gorillas program or tailored for your business function.
- Ensure proper safety and vocational trainings are in place and followed.

**What we expect from you**:

- 3-7 years' experience as an HR Business Partner, ideally with exposure to blue collar employees
- Multiple years of experience as an HR Business Partner in a fast change, digital-first environment.
- Knowledge of the German labour law
- Fluent in German and English
- Excited about helping us to further develop our people practices while sharing our passion to keep things simple in design, light on process and high on impact.
- Ability to build effective relationships at all levels helps you prevent and resolve those tricky employment and performance issues.
- Proactiveness and enjoying to support the organization to deal with change and ambiguity in a healthy way
- Excellent project management skills and preferably experience in implementing and managing company-wide HR projects or programs
- Hands-on mentality and experience in an organization with multiple outlets
- Effective and independent in a remote role (our German office is based in Berlin)
