We are setting up our studio, Thera Bytes, with a new focus - dedicated to developing core games for PC and consoles, with an emphasis on first-person gameplay in Unreal Engine 5. Alongside the CEO and CCO, your technical expertise and experience will complete our three-person management team. In this role, you will have the option to acquire equity in the company.

Your Responsibilities

As CTO, you will embody the technical strategy and execution of our games and simulations. You will lead a small team of game developers and actively contribute to development alongside management, artists and designers. With strategic foresight, you will make key technical decisions and represent this domain both internally and externally. You will define and continuously shape Thera Bytes' technical vision.
- Establishing a technical production pipeline for Unreal Engine 5
- Co-developing core technical systems for our in-house projects
- Leading a small development team
- Developing and communicating our technical vision
- Defining and ensuring the company’s tech stack
- Representing the company and our products externally on technical matters

Your Profile
- Proven track record as an Unreal game developer
- A strong passion for games, with experience contributing to at least one commercially released game
- Solid experience in game development using Unreal Engine and C++ programming
- Ability to balance hands-on programming with a broader strategic view
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Very good English proficiency
- Bonus: Experience with first-person or multiplayer games
