**The Role**
SellerX is growing and we are now looking for a **Team Lead Accounting (x/f/m) for all our German entities**. This is an exciting opportunity not only to work with a team of experienced and passionate accountants. You will also help us to develop the existing accounting function and drive strategic projects within our ERP transitions and first-time adoption of IFRS.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Own the accounting results of our German group entities and onboard new entities into our reporting structure
- Establish and improve strong month end procedures, and provide technical accounting guidance to our finance teams
- Prepare the annual financial statements for individual entities and support the Head of Accounting & Reporting with variance analysis on actuals versus budget and preparation of commentary
- Implement and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual month end procedures for German entities
- Lead the audit of German entities and assess complex transactions from an accounting perspective
- Be the first point of contact for external accounting providers and tax consultants and help to bring all accounting in house
- Manage a team of experienced accountants and take our accounting to the next level
- Support the implementation of accounting guidelines for the SellerX group
**Your Background**
Our new team member should be a passionate accountant and people person who thrives in a dynamic environment like SellerX and enjoys the challenge of building with us new processes and set the bar for excellent accounting. The following will set you up for success:
- Accounting professional with people leadership experience (5+ years is a good starting point)
- German language on native level mandatory (since you will be the point of contact for German tax authorities)
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a similar in-house role with a
- Local GAAP knowledge and background in audit or consulting
- Strong technical affinity and passion for automations
- Extensive knowledge and experience of HGB and statutory reporting requirements
- Experience with common ERP systems/consolidation tools (Netsuite is a big plus)
- Excellent Stakeholder management and communication skills on all levels
