**Responsibilities**: - Conduct ground-breaking research in the broad area of Connected Secure Systems - Research System architecture trends - Drive AI/ML advances through embedded ML or federated learning - Embrace mindset of "our customer's customer" for Innovative system solutions - Engage in deep "eye to eye" communication with customers - Evaluate frameworks to win in target market - Collaborate with technical and business experts in different domains - Contribute to relevant standardization, regulatory and ecosystem bodies - Deliver compelling proof-of-concept demonstrations at System level - Interact with Startups x NXP, a program to pro-actively engaging with startups to develop innovative, long-lasting solutions addressing societal and industry-wide challenges - Understand technical issues and risks and ensure appropriate mitigation - Support senior management strategy discussions and processes - Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with more than 10+ years of job experience - Proven architecture and/or management roles in Software, SoC, System or Architecture - Deep architectural expertise in Wireless Systems (e.g. Wi-Fi, BT/15.4, UWB, NFC), ML/AI (Models, Training, SW and HW aspects), Sensors (radar, environmental, vision, audio etc.), Security (Secure elements, Security protocols) - Experience architecting and/or specifying the technical requirements of end customer IoT products such as Health ML/AI Software, Hearables and/or Smart Watches - Demonstrated history of innovation and forward-looking vision (e.g. patents, publications and product success stories) - Demonstrated ability of showcasing compelling proof-of-concept demos to executives - Experience in building and leading research and development teams - Strong mindset to improve development efficiency, time-to-market and product test cost - Strong social competence and ability to work across and integrate multi-cultural teams and interfaces - Strategic mindset and strong analytical skills - Excellent English communication skills
