Buyer Designer

**THE ROLE & THE TEAM**:
As a Buyer in our Designer category, you're part of a high performing team, creating new and innovative ways to connect people and fashion in our Offprice segment. You are responsible for branded buying, working together with your buying and planning teams.

**WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)**:

- To build up our luxury brand portfolio, reporting into the Designer Lead. Sourcing new brands, growing the existing partner base, negotiating the best terms for Zalando, creative direction of your assortment, checking trends whilst managing existing brands
- Defining brand strategies together with your Category Controllers, including budget and assortment planning. Checking KPIs, monitoring the OTB and reviewing the performance of your unit, making recommendations based on valid numbers
- Stakeholder management and constant exchange with other departments such as Logistics, Content and Photo Production, Fashion Store, Marketing are key to your work, ensuring that we act in line with the whole organisation. You will work cross functionally to drive sales and maximise profit
- You know the latest trends and be up-to-date in terms of fashion European markets, especially for the Luxury & Designer category

**WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF**:

- You have a minimum 3 years of buying fashion experience in a Head Office and a background in the Luxury and Designer industry, ideally paired with off-price experience
- You have excellent analytical skills, knowledge in MS Office (especially Excel and formulas) and combining the passion for numbers with fashion and trends
- Negotiation is in your blood, and you are always a compelling figure when communicating with suppliers and other stakeholders
- You have a quick thinking and proactive attitude, which also means you keep on top of things in a fast-paced environment, while embracing collaboration. Being able to work in a team as well as being very independent
- You have excellent written and spoken communication in English, Italian & French is a plus
