Smithers MDT, a global leader in laboratory services, is excited to announce the opening of our new laboratory in Frankfurt, Germany. We are looking to build a talent pool of enthusiastic and dedicated individuals ready to take on the role of Laboratory Technician.

Smithers MDT is a key part of the Smithers Group, established in Akron, Ohio, in 1925. We provide standard and non-standard testing on a wide range of drug delivery devices, accessories, and packaging to ensure the product is compliant and fit for use. As an independent testing laboratory, we have extensive experience supporting clients with verification testing and processes. Our experts develop and validate bespoke tests to support regulatory submissions in the EU and US.

**About the Role**:
As a Laboratory Technician at Smithers MDT, you will join a world-class team established to support the innovative and thriving medical device and combination drug product industries.

You will work to provide support for product development, demonstrating conformance to industry standards, evaluating functional performance against specific design requirements, and independent production batch conformance testing for our global clients.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct laboratory tests and experiments following established protocols
- Carry out multiple testing programs and providing good quality data on time to Project Leaders
- Maintain effective records of assignments for project audit purposes
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on key projects

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in any related scientific field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Familiarity with laboratory safety practices and protocols
