As a key member of our Finance Team, the **Senior Financial Accountant (SFA) **oversees financial accounting and reporting for specific entities. The SFA plays a crucial role in developing and implementing best practices for accounting and closing processes, ensuring accurate accounting and documentation in line with German GAAP. We are looking for an excellent communicator who thrives in collaborating with individuals of diverse talents.

In this context, the SFA guides global accounting processes, ensuring consistent data quality as the foundation for internal management reporting.

**You will be working in**:
English and German (fluency required)

**How you will make an impact**:

- Managing the day-to-day accounting for our companies, following HGB and IFRS standards
- Clarifying and reconciling accounts, including intercompany reconciliation with our controlling department
- Assisting in planning, managing, and overseeing accounting tasks
- Offering guidance and assistance to our accounting team
- Contributing to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as handling tax accounting and reporting requirements
- Addressing complex accounting issues through literature research, and coordinating with tax consultants/auditors when needed
- Providing support in projects focused on optimizing processes and implementing new technical solutions

**Skills you will need to be successful**:

- Degree in economics, business administration, finance or a similar education with further training as an IHK accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter/in/) or tax accountant (Steuerfachangestelle/r/)
- At least 3+ years of relevant professional experience in financial accounting or tax/audit advisory services
- Highly fluent in the language of P&Ls, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flows according to German GAAP (HGB) as well as tax accounting standards
- Respecting and understanding different cultural values
- Proficiency in Excel/Google spreadsheets and standard accounting systems
- Organizational talent with an independent and structured way of working
- Eager in self-education in modern tools and technologies and adoption for own work environment
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central 365 is a big plus
