**Aufgaben / Tasks**
- Director of Group Strategy & M&A will be responsible for overall Group Strategy, including M&A, market intelligence and corporate foresight.The role is a new position within FTI and will have the following major areas of focus:

- Leadership: The Director of Group Strategy & M&A plays a leadership role in the business, leading the strategy management team in the development of long-range strategic plans and objectives through the identification of strategic issues and opportunities that could influence business growth and profitability. This should be viewed as a close collaboration with the Transformation team and complimenting the goals of the overall transformation programme.
- Strategy Definition: Responsible for the definition of structure and execution of mid
- to long-term strategic initiatives through the development of work plans, gathering and generation of relevant data, driving fundamental analyses, and the development of clear recommendations. Identifies and develops actionable strategic opportunities for the business with a view of reducing structural cost, increasing automation and efficiency and gaining an additional share of the market.

- Corporate foresight: Drives awareness and timely insightful analyses of the market and transaction trends with a view to capitalizing on trends within the industry. Building analytical models and performing regular financial, competitive, performance, and market analyses for the business in order to comprehensively value business risks & opportunities and ensure well-founded reactive short-term tactics & proactive mid-term strategies are presented to the relevant leadership.
- Regular analysis reports for senior strategy management, business leadership and executives, and relevant stakeholders for purposes of further decision making will also be required.
- Recruitment: Highly involved in the recruitment of strategy management personnel in order facilitate the design and execution of strategic initiatives. Leading and coaching the junior strategy management team in the strategic development of bold ideas across the business will be integral.
- Other: Duties are inclusive of competitor benchmarking, industry intelligence, consumer knowledge, and development of strategic initiatives. This role will lead the department in launching high priority strategic initiatives, working directly with the business's leadership, executives, and stakeholders.

**Profil / Qualifikation**
- Master’s degree or equivalent from renowned university or university of applied science in (tourism) business administration, law, engineering or social science
- Proven academic track record within top 20% of performers in respective field
- 7+ years work-experience in Big4 / MBB consulting firm; investment banking, strategy department/ in-house consulting of mid-to-large enterprise, fast-paced start-up environment (digital).
- Strong conceptual skills, abstract thinking and/or strong quantitative skills (e.g. through valuation / corporate finance background)
