**About the Position**:This position is located at Kaiserslautern High School in Kaiserslautern, Germany with the Department of Defense Education Activity (DODEA).

This position is not covered by a bargaining unit.

Federal employees in Kaiserslautern are currently entitled to receive a 25% Post Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary.

Conditions of Employment
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
- Direct deposit of pay is required.
- Two year trial period may be required.
- Two year supervisory probation period may be required.
- This position requires a Tier 3 (T3) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.
- This position may require you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- You may be required to sign a transportation agreement.
- You will be required to sign a mobility agreement, be available for worldwide placement, and be willing to rotate to any DoDDS or DDESS location.
- Individuals hired from the Continental United States (CONUS) and their family members (who are US citizens) are required to obtain Official Passports prior to departure to the overseas area.
- A secret security clearance is required.

**Qualifications**:

- Current Competitive Service Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Civilian Employee
- Current Excepted Service Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Employee

**Basic Requirements for an Assistant Principal**:
**Education**:The course work must have been completed at, or accepted by, a regionally accredited U.S. college or university. Applicants must provide copies of official bachelor's and master's transcripts (include EDS and Doctorate's if applicable). Acceptable degree pathways are listed below.

a. Master's degree in Educational Administration/Educational Leadership.

OR

b. Master's degree reflecting 30 semester hours of graduate level course work. Of the required 30 hours of graduate level course work, a minimum of 20 of those semester hours must be Educational Administration/Educational Leadership.

AND

**General Experience**: A minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching, specialist, or other professional educator experience at the Pre-K - 12 level is required.
