Data Architect

**Task Description**:

- Develop and maintain the bank’s overall data architecture strategy, including data models, standards, policies, and governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, software engineers, and other teams to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data solutions.
- Design and implement data integration, migration, and transformation processes to ensure the availability, quality, and consistency of data across the organization.
- Define and enforce data security and privacy measures, including access controls, encryption, and data masking, to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate and recommend data management tools, technologies, and platforms to support the bank’s data architecture objectives, including data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud-based solutions.
- Lead the implementation of data governance practices, data quality initiatives, and metadata management processes to improve data usability, accuracy, and trustworthiness.
- Develop and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries, data lineage diagrams, and data flow diagrams, to facilitate understanding and collaboration across teams.
- Mentor and coach junior members of the data architecture team, providing guidance on data modelling techniques, database design principles, and data management best practices.

**Skill Requirement**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in data architecture, data management, or a related role, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of data modelling concepts, including relational, dimensional, and NoSQL databases, as well as data warehouse design principles.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Experience with data integration tools and ETL/ELT processes, such as Informatica, Talend, or Apache NiFi.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data quality tools, and metadata management solutions.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and drive results.
- Hybrid work with the ability to travel internationally
- Fluent and proficient written and spoken English
