**Who We are**:
ACGF - Afghan Credit Guarantee Foundation (ACGF) is a charitable foundation based in Cologne, Germany. Our mission is to improve access to finance for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Afghanistan by providing credit guarantees and technical assistance to Partner Financial Institutions (PFIs). Another mission that ACGF pursues is the promotion of development projects to support self-help for local entrepreneurs in Afghanistan.

Established in 2014, ACGF launched its operations in January 2015 as an institutional successor of the Credit Guarantee Facility for Afghanistan (CGF-A). Our funders are DEG - Deutsche Investitions
- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (member of the KfW Group), the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the World Bank and the European Union. ACGF is supported by its Afghan subsidiary SCSA - SME Client Support Afghanistan LLC.

ACGF is looking for a **Junior Finance & Controlling Officer (f/m/*)**for our head office in Cologne**, starting as soon as possible.

**What You'll do**:

- Accounting: You will handle and prepare incoming electronic and physical invoices, prepare documents for German Tax Advisor and support the Finance & Controlling Manager in cost-accounting and coordination of accounting of Afghan subsidiary
- Controlling: You will support periodic comparison of actual vs. budgeted figures, providing reports for quarterly and annual reporting of ACGF
- Audit: You will support annual audit preparations, assist in collecting necessary documents for auditors, and provide continuous support throughout the audit process
- Budgeting:
You will be responsible for preparing annual budgets, including project budgets and mid-term projections for ACGF in addition to review and support in SCSA budgeting
- Asset Management: You will supervise all investments, prepare timely investment proposals, ensure adherence to ACGF Investment Guidelines, and manage liquidity needs, liabilities, and Fixed Term Deposits, providing transparent overviews
- Reporting: You will prepare finance sections as well as Investment and limit steering sections in quarterly reports

**Your Profile**:

- University degree, preferably in economics, business, finance or other related fields
- Minimum of one year working experience in the field of finance, controlling and/or accounting is preferable
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office software, especially MS Excel
- Dedication to detail and ability to prepare financial data/reports
- Good analytical skills, ability to follow a structured approach in fulfilment of tasks
- Excellent communication skills (oral and in writing)
- Excellent command of English language is a prerequisite, German preferred
- Ability to integrate in a multi-cultural environment
- Independent and reliable way of working
