The Procurement team supports the development, implementation and management of strategies to provide Tesla with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality and delivery performance. Interns build and leverages strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and key suppliers to assure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met. Specific focus will involve a strong analysis support to define with the Supply Chain Managers a sharp negotiation strategy for periodical Raw Material contracts, minimize costs of ownership and to achieve maximum advantage for Tesla and our customers.

**What You'll Do**
- Quotation analysis & mapping support for commodities negotiations (hundreds of combinations of technical specs and cost voices)
- Define optimum analysis approach and compare it with Global stakeholders (US, CHINA)
- Analysis results´ presentations and action recommendation
- Steering of suppliers to make sure quotations´ deliverables and timing are met
- Support in Raw Material mapping across all vehicle components as chance to extend directed buy benefit: resins/plastic materials, casting & billets will be first focus point
- Build, based upon Global Supply Managers´ input, key raw material cost build up comparisons across the NAR, EMEA and APAC regions to identify discrepancies and deep-dive opportunities
- Support in “time critical” supplier related operations: EDI set-up, invoicing etc
- Support project implementation (operations) on cost reduction programs, mostly around recycling and circularity (scrap pooling, closed loop flows etc.)
- Learn how to maintain day-to-day stakeholder relationships
- Learn analysis excellence and synthesis
- Learn how to coordinate projects and grasp key factors of succes

**What You'll Bring**
- Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken. German or Chinese are a plus
- Preferably engineering or business studies with curricular or extra-curricular experience in problem solving & data analysis
- Linearity of thought and clear mind structure in the analysis of complex problems
- Clarity of communication, curiosity, will go the “extra mile”
- “Creative thinking” and courage to come up with alternative solutions and ideas
- Ability to work in a team as well as in an organized and independent manner
- Ability to keep an overview on assigned task, with a project management approach
