We are looking for a Buyer for our General Industrial Services (GIS) in Hamburg
**About the role**
- Actively participate in the strategic procurement activities for GIS subcategory of spend for the mills/sites
- Build transparency of subcategory spend in a hub and drive cost reduction
- Work closely with internal customers and logistics people in sites to endure effective strategic procurement and business continuity across at every site
- Together with Lead User and Users collaborate in the search and implementation of Progress and TCO Actions
- Work closely with Lead Buyers and logistics people in conducting research on supply markets, price benchmarks, and supplier profiles
- Participate in Transversal Projects/Initiatives Across Clusters to ensure share of Best practices
**Key Responsibilities**
- Execute supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting for the site.
- Develop and maintain supplier profiles: Manage Supplier relationship and monitor contract compliance
- Deliver savings and subcategory KPI targets and assist Lead Buyers with necessary analyses:
- o Spend data analysis and basic financial analyses _
- o Performance reporting _
- o Category strategy development (e.g., supply market research, price benchmarks) _
- o Supplier profile maintenance _
- Achieve effective procurement and business continuity by cooperation with Lead Users across sites
- Participate in transversal working groups and projects
**Your profile**:
- You graduated as/hold a/have a Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering or Supply Chain.
- You have a track record in Procurement and should you have 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, this will be an asset
- As a genuine buyer, you have problem-solving and analytical skills and a good ease facing numbers.
- You have a good technical knowledge of contracts and targeted systems but also in project management and negotiation.
- You combine a strong personality/leadership and communication skills with an appetite for reducing costs and for finding information on innovative industry trends and for market analysis.
- Result and Customer oriented, you are able to work under deadline pressure and to manage the change
- As our contracts are very important both for our customers and EBITDA plants, reliability is one major key for success
- You are fluent in English and German. Other additional European language is appreciated.
