At tozero, we are building Europe’s first industrial-scale battery recycling plant to regenerate critical raw materials like lithium and graphite. Our mission: truly bring lithium-ion battery waste to zero. We’ve proven our tech in the lab, scaled it in our pilot, and are now constructing our first-of-a-kind (FOAK) commercial demonstration plant. Now, we’re scaling our team and we’re looking for a **Finance Controller** who can drive finance excellence as we industrialize.

**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**:
As **Finance Controller**, you will be a key enabler of tozero’s success by ensuring financial excellence across operations, compliance, and growth initiatives. You’ll work closely with our CEO and cross-functional teams to bring clarity, discipline, and structure into a scaling environment.

**WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT**:
As **Finance Controller**at tozero, you’ll be at the heart of our scale-up journey, ensuring financial rigor, operational excellence, and investor confidence as we expand. You will:

- **Finance Operations & Reporting**
- Own day-to-day finance operations: AP/AR, bookkeeping, and cash management.
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax, and regulatory requirements.

- **Controlling & Forecasting**
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across all departments.
- Build dashboards and financial models that give management and investors clear insights.
- Monitor KPIs and deliver actionable recommendations to leadership.

- **Fundraising & Investor Relations**
- Prepare investor-ready reports, presentations, and financial data packs.
- Partner with our CEO and leadership team to ensure investor trust through transparency and excellence.

- **Process & Systems Excellence**
- Implement efficient financial processes and internal controls as we scale.
- Drive automation and digitalization of finance workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Ops, Commercial, Tech, HR) to align financial processes with company growth.
- Monitor KPIs and identify cost-saving opportunities.

**Your profile**:

- Excellent communication skills in **English and German**.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in finance, controlling, or accounting (startup/scale-up or consulting is a plus).
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate numbers into business insights.
- Hands-on, structured, and detail-oriented, but comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.
- A team player with a “builder mindset”, eager to shape world-class financial processes from the ground up.
