**Your role**:As the Executive Director, Head of Tumor Areas & Assets, you drive clinical and medical value creation across the entire portfolio of tumors throughout the product lifecycle by developing evidence generation capabilities in order to inform decision-making regarding development and patient management strategies; you line manage the MU Oncology tumor area lead team

**accountabilities**:
- Sets the direction, strategy, and tactics in evidence generation and medical strategy for the entire portfolio
- Drives decisions internally and externally on development and patient management strategies through the development of evidence generation capabilities
- Proactively identifies and addresses challenges unique to evidence generation and medical strategy development with a broad business impact for the portfolio
- Manages and engages Tumor Areas & Asset Medical Leads
- Represents Tumor Areas & Assets in MU Leadership Team
- Works closely with the MU leadership team to define and implement mid
- and long-term strategic business plans
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Global Medical tumor area and product portfolio strategy**- Define and drive medical contribution to product strategy
- Support Medical Lead team with experience-based medical and technical expertise
- Prioritize portfolio for evidence generation activities
- Communicate progress and insights to MU Oncology Head & engage MU Oncology Head in decision making
**Scientific engagement and scientific advocacy**- Ensure alignment of KTL management across tumor areas; maintain relationship with select Tier 1 KTLs in alignment with Tumor Area & Asset Medical Leads
- Review and approve objectives for global advisory board meetings and chair / participate in key advisory boards
- Ensure appropriate quality oversight of scientific communication materials across tumor areas / assets
**State-of-the-art evidence generation capabilities to enable articulation of clinical value**- Oversee design and execution of plans for Tumor Area / Asset LCM EG strategy prior to MU Oncology Head sign off, including for sponsored trials, observational studies and ISS concepts
**People management and engagement**- Engage employees for impact
- Represent Tumor Area & Asset group on MU Oncology Leadership Team
- Oversee functional training and best practice sharing
**Who you are**- Medical degree required (MD or equivalent)- 15+ years experience with 10+ years in pharma / biotech
- 5+ years experience in senior leadership roles in Medical Affairs Oncology
- Relevant clinical practice experience
