Junior Accountant

Vay has developed an alternative approach to autonomous driving called teledriving (remote driving) - to solve transportation in metropolitan areas.

Vay is the first company that has driven a car on European public roads with no one inside. Vay is the leading teledriving company setting the global standard for remotely driven vehicles. Vay aims to launch a safe, affordable, and sustainable door-to-door mobility service in the US, Germany and beyond. With its first service, Vay plans to remotely deliver and return electric cars for its customers.

**Summary**:
We are seeking a skilled and driven Accountant to join the finance team at Vay. As part of this team, you will support all processes related to month-end-closing, Accounting of our entities and Group Accounting with the team and our external tax advisors. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, across business and engineering, to ensure smooth processes, payments and reconciliations. This role will report to the Accountant Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Data Management
- Update Internal Accounting Reports on a Monthly basis as preparation for internal and external audits
- Structure and Organisation of Digital Documents in our Finance archive
- Accounting
- Accounts Payable and supplier payment run support
- Accounts Receivable preparation
- Monthly Closing support
- Annual Closing and audit assistance
- Reimbursement Management
- Checking daily allowances and other out-of-pocket expenses
- Exchange with internal stakeholders
- Communication
- Internal Communication with other departments
- External communication with vendors

**Qualifications**:

- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related field or a successfully completed training program in business administration
- Excel skills
- Affinity and openness to digital finance processes and software
- Motivated, high-energetic and hands-on mentality
- Growth mindset
- Team Player
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects running simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving skills while paying attention to details
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Fluent in German and English language skills
- Experience in Datev, Pleo and Candis is a plus
