Senior Logistics Coordinator

**You are responsible for**:

- Responsible for ensuring the smooth operational flow of all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Managing internal and external logistics service providers with regards to all freight issues that arise
- Managing shipments of project rollouts
- Defining logistics standards and requirements (operational and environmental related topics)
- Driving continuous improvement of the existing transportation network, developing transport solutions along the supply chain within the Global Logistics Team
- Performing carrier management (strategic carrier selection, carrier performance management, risk management)
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
- Evaluating adequate packaging solutions for shipments
- Responsible for cost and budget, invoice verification
- Improving loading equipment / cargo weight management

**Qualifications**:

- Logistics or Supply Chain B.Sc. or comparable, desired post graduate MSc or MBA. Alternatively extensive business record in international logistics or transportation environment
- Several years of professional experience
- Profound commercial knowledge in the field of national and international transportation
- Confident appearance towards service providers and corresponding negotiation skills
- Knowledge in the areas of customs clearance & dangerous goods is desirable
- History of managing and executing in an international matrix environment, international project management experience
- Business fluent English and German skills, excellent communication skills
- Sense of responsibility and organizational skills
- Knowledge of, and experience with MS-Office software and SAP/R3
- Willingness to travel.
