Director Financial Accounting

**Your role and responsibilities**:

- Ensure Financial Regulatory Accounting based on German HGB (IFRS knowledge a benefit), including establishing an accounting policy for new transaction and enhancing internal controls.
- Manage German corporate tax, trade tax, VAT reporting, payroll tax, and other tax compliance (EU wide knowledge a benefit).
- Manage financial audits (e.g. Deloitte or HQ) and tax audits (e.g. Finanzamt, Zoll or HQ).
- Manage and motivate a team of accountants to ensure daily tasks and responsibilities are met to operate the company.
- Initiate continuous process improvements to benefit the Accounting team and partner departments to drive process efficiencies.

**Your profile**:

- Proven work experience as an Accounting manager
- Demonstrable leadership abilities
- Solid communication skills
- Expertise in resolving conflicts and fostering healthy workplace relationships
- Familiarity with SAP
- Thorough knowledge of German GAAP
- Tax regulations and audit
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and spoken German and English skills round off your profile
